Moose Travel Network is an adventure tour and transportation network for mainly 18 to 39 year old (and young at heart!) budget travellers in Western Canada. Our company was founded in 1997 by two entrepreneurs who wanted to show visitors a truly Canadian experience by getting them “out and about” into the wild outdoors of this stunningly beautiful and diverse country!
Based in cosmopolitan Vancouver, British Columbia, we offer 13 tours departing from either Vancouver or Banff. Major towns and regions we visit include the Rocky Mountains, Banff and Jasper National Parks, Jasper town, Whistler, Victoria, Tofino, and elsewhere on Vancouver Island. On travel days, we stop en route for sightseeing, walks/hikes, swimming, and wildlife spotting at spectacular lakes, mountain viewpoints, waterfalls, glaciers, and more. During free time, Moose travellers can choose to participate in a wide variety of optional activities such as whale watching, kayaking, or whitewater rafting, for an extra cost. Or just chill out, check out a cultural site, go shopping…or more hiking. It’s your trip, your choice!
Our tours include dormitory-style hostel accommodation, transportation in 13 to 24 seat mini-buses, the services of a driver/guide, National Park fees, and a few select activities and meals. Most of our itineraries also include special Indigenous cultural experiences, for example a guided tour of an Indigenous heritage site or cultural centre, or a First Nations meal. If visiting Vancouver Island, two scenic ferry rides are also included. For those that prefer more privacy, we also offer a non-accommodated option on all tours, so that you can arrange alternative accommodation in private rooms, hotels, or wherever else you choose.
